EPA ORD to Host ‘Approaches to Technology Approval’ Webinar
As part of the Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grant program, EPA has funded two National Research Centers for Small Drinking Water Systems: the Design of Risk Reducing, Innovative Implementable Small Systems Knowledge (DeRISK) Center at University of Colorado-Boulder and the Water Innovation Network for Sustainable Small Systems (WINSSS) at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. This webinar will present some of each center’s drinking water treatment technology results.
EPA Tools and Resources Webinar: Green Infrastructure Modeling Toolkit
This webinar will present a toolkit consisting of five EPA green infrastructure models and tools, along with communication material that can be used as a teaching tool and as a quick reference resource for use by planners and developers when making green infrastructure implementation decision. These materials can also be used for low impact development design competitions.
EPA Hosting Webinar on SRF American Iron and Steel Requirements
EPA’s Clean Water (CW) and Drinking Water (DW) State Revolving Fund (SRF) programs will be hosting a refresher webinar to discuss updated information regarding how to implement the AIS requirements, product certifications, the waiver request process, and national waivers. The will focus on manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, and construction managers.
ORD Small Systems Workshop
Registration is now open for EPA's free annual workshop held in partnership with the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA). Attendees will be provided with in-depth information and training on various solutions and strategies for handling small drinking water system challenges. The workshop is primarily designed for state personnel responsible for drinking water regulations compliance and treatment technologies permitting; however, others may also benefit, including system owners and operators, local and tribal government personnel, academics, design engineers, technical assistance providers, and consultants.
National Capacity Development & Operator Certification Workshop: 2018
The National Capacity Development and Operator Certification Workshop will cover topics such as best practices and collaborations between and among state capacity development, operator certification, and state revolving fund programs; methods for building sustainability through asset management, water system partnerships, and operator training; and how EPA, states, and assistance providers can be more effective and efficient in our collective support for small drinking water systems. There will also be dedicated time for states to exchange successes and challenges and brainstorm on new ideas and strategic approaches.
ASDWA/EPA Data Management Users Conference (DMUC): 2019
The 2019 ASDWA/EPA Data Management Users Conference will be held in Atlanta, GA from July 23-25, 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown (275 Baker St NE). NOTE: we are NOT holding a Monday Training event this year. The conference will begin on Tuesday, July 23.
