The 7th National Area-Wide Optimization Program (AWOP) Meeting will be held in Cincinnati, OH at the Hilton Netherland Plaza on August 8 - 9, 2017. The conference is designed to identify strategic activities to build, maintain, and strengthen quality Area Wide Optimization Programs and provide existing AWOP States and Regions with an opportunity to meet and network with other AWOP participants. The conference will also provide a forum for discussing national AWOP priorities and technical topics. Other states with an interest in AWOP may also attend to become more familiar with AWOP tools and practices.
ASDWA has scheduled a series of webinars that will take place during the 2017 AWOP National Meeting on August 8 and 9 in Cincinnati, OH. Our goal is to provide access to the presented materials in addition to live conference audio in a real-time environment.
Registration is now open for EPA's free annual workshop held in partnership with the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA). Attendees will be provided with in-depth information and training on various solutions and strategies for handling small drinking water system challenges. The workshop is primarily designed for state personnel responsible for drinking water regulations compliance and treatment technologies permitting; however, others may also benefit, including system owners and operators, local and tribal government personnel, academics, design engineers, technical assistance providers, and consultants.
The purpose of the webinar is to build on the efforts of ASDWA, ACWA, GWPC, and EPA to share and promote Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act (CWA-SDWA) coordination activities across state and EPA water programs. Learn how the Virginia and Washington Drinking Water Programs collaborated with their state Clean Water Programs and other partners to creatively use some non-traditional funding routes to benefit their drinking water utilities, including one very small and disadvantaged water system.
