This webinar will provide the SDWIS community with information about how to do SDWIS Prime application testing during this first round of user acceptance testing (UAT), occurring April 24–May 5. Testers will be testing the inventory and legal entity areas of SDWIS Prime, so during the webinar, EPA and the development team will orient the community to what to look for while testing, and how to make the most of interacting with the system. Testers will use the SDWIS Prime Zendesk website to provide feedback, so a demo and instructions will be provided about how to use Zendesk. Finally, there will be open Q and A during the webinar.

As part of the Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grant program, EPA has funded two National Research Centers for Small Drinking Water Systems: the Design of Risk Reducing, Innovative Implementable Small Systems Knowledge (DeRISK) Center at University of Colorado-Boulder and the Water Innovation Network for Sustainable Small Systems (WINSSS) at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. This webinar will present some of each center’s drinking water treatment technology results.

The intended audience for this event includes state primacy agencies, tribes, community planners, technical assistance providers, academia, and water systems interested in issues facing community water systems and solutions to help them.
This webinar will explain how demand changes affect revenues and how water utilities can improve their revenue stability by modifying their rate structure design. The vast majority of a water utility’s revenues is directly dependent on the volume of water sold to customers. Water demand fluctuates from year to year, and numerous studies have shown that average residential demands are decreasing, placing much of a utility’s revenue at risk.
This event explores ways that water systems can partner or collaborate to enhance their performance and capabilities. The webinar also looks at many of the ‘where do I start and what should I avoid and how do I retain control of my system’ type questions that frequently arise in partnership discussions. This online forum offers an opportunity for you to ask any and all questions related to water system partnerships and regionalization options.
EPA’s Clean Water (CW) and Drinking Water (DW) State Revolving Fund (SRF) programs will be hosting a refresher webinar to discuss updated information regarding how to implement the AIS requirements, product certifications, the waiver request process, and national waivers. Researchers in EPA’s Office of Research and Development (ORD) have been studying green infrastructure practices and developing models and tools to help communities manage their stormwater runoff and address nutrient impairment. This webinar will present a toolkit consisting of five EPA green infrastructure models and tools, along with communication material that can be used as a teaching tool and as a quick reference resource for use by planners and developers when making green infrastructure implementation decision. These materials can also be used for low impact development design competitions. The models and tools included in the toolkit are the National Stormwater Calculator (SWC), Green Infrastructure Wizard (GIWiz), Watershed Optimization Support Tool (WMOST), Storm Water Management Model (SWMM), and Visualizing Ecosystem Land Management Assessments (VELMA). 2017 DMUC Pre-Con Webinar: Federal Modernization Join us for a webinar on Apr 27, 2017 from 2:00 – 3:00 PMEDT.
In this webinar, EPA staff will describe updates to the SDWIS Fed production control process. This process, which hasn’t been updated since 2004, uses older technology that may not work as intended even if we update it to work with a newer version of Java. In addition, staff will describe the concept for SDWIS Fed quarterly reporting when SDWIS Prime goes live, which will rely on the new production control process.
