AWOP National Meeting: 2017

The seventh National Area-Wide Optimization Program (AWOP) Meeting will be held in Cincinnati, OH at the Hilton Netherland Plaza on August 8-9, 2017. The conference is designed to identify strategic activities to build, maintain, and strengthen quality Area Wide Optimization Programs and provide existing AWOP States and Regions with an opportunity to meet and network with other AWOP participants. The conference will also provide a forum for discussing national AWOP priorities and technical topics. Other states with an interest in AWOP may also attend to become more familiar with AWOP tools and practices.

Source Water Collaborative Learning Exchange Webinar Series: Linking Source Water Protection and Emergency Preparedness and Response

This webinar will leverage the case study from the spill on the Potomac River (in Virginia) in November 2016 to provide recommendations for a variety of participants including water utilities, and federal, state, and local governments. This is the sixth webinar in the Source Water Collaborative Learning Exchange Webinar Series. The Learning Exchange is an information sharing platform for source water protection advocates to discuss current challenges, share success stories, and transfer knowledge to bolster source water protection efforts across the country.

AWOP National Meeting: 2017 (Remote Attendance Webinar Series)

ASDWA has scheduled a series of webinars that will take place during the 2017 AWOP National Meeting on August 8 and 9 in Cincinnati, OH. Our goal is to provide access to the presented materials in addition to live conference audio in a real-time environment.

ORD Small Systems Workshop

Registration is now open for EPA's free annual workshop held in partnership with the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA). Attendees will be provided with in-depth information and training on various solutions and strategies for handling small drinking water system challenges. The workshop is primarily designed for state personnel responsible for drinking water regulations compliance and treatment technologies permitting; however, others may also benefit, including system owners and operators, local and tribal government personnel, academics, design engineers, technical assistance providers, and consultants.

ASDWA CWA-SDWA Webinar: Creative Uses of Clean Water Funding for Drinking Water Benefits

The purpose of the webinar is to build on the efforts of ASDWA, ACWA, GWPC, and EPA to share and promote Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act (CWA-SDWA) coordination activities across state and EPA water programs. Learn how the Virginia and Washington Drinking Water Programs collaborated with their state Clean Water Programs and other partners to creatively use some non-traditional funding routes to benefit their drinking water utilities, including one very small and disadvantaged water system.

ASDWA CWA-SDWA Webinar: Leveraging CWA 319 and SDWA Programs for Surface and Ground Water Quality Planning

The purpose of the webinar is to build on the efforts of ASDWA, the Association of Clean Water Administrators (ACWA), the Ground Water Protection Council (GWPC), and EPA to share and promote Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act (CWA-SDWA) coordination activities across state and EPA water programs. State, interstate, tribal, and federal water programs, water utilities, technical assistance providers will learn how the Nebraska and Nevada state water programs coordinated with EPA and local communities to leverage the CWA 319 nonpoint source (NPS) program for surface and groundwater quality protection planning in drinking water supply areas.
