ASDWA/EPA Data Management Users Conference: 2017

ASDWA and EPA are excited to announce the 2017 Data Management Users Conference will be held at the historic Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza in downtown Cincinnati, OH. The meeting will be held on May 9-11 with an optional training on Monday May 8. More details will be available in early 2017.

AWOP National Meeting: 2017

The seventh National Area-Wide Optimization Program (AWOP) Meeting will be held in Cincinnati, OH at the Hilton Netherland Plaza on August 8-9, 2017. The conference is designed to identify strategic activities to build, maintain, and strengthen quality Area Wide Optimization Programs and provide existing AWOP States and Regions with an opportunity to meet and network with other AWOP participants. The conference will also provide a forum for discussing national AWOP priorities and technical topics. Other states with an interest in AWOP may also attend to become more familiar with AWOP tools and practices.

ORD Small Systems Workshop

Registration is now open for EPA's free annual workshop held in partnership with the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA). Attendees will be provided with in-depth information and training on various solutions and strategies for handling small drinking water system challenges. The workshop is primarily designed for state personnel responsible for drinking water regulations compliance and treatment technologies permitting; however, others may also benefit, including system owners and operators, local and tribal government personnel, academics, design engineers, technical assistance providers, and consultants.

ASDWA/EPA Data Management Users Conference (DMUC): 2018

Please mark you calendars for the 2018 Data Management Users Conference (DMUC) which will be held in Salt Lake City, UT on July 9-12, 2018. You will notice a later time for the DMUC compared to past years. We are holding the meeting at a later date to better align with the roll out and pilot testing for Prime.

National Capacity Development & Operator Certification Workshop: 2018

The National Capacity Development and Operator Certification Workshop will cover topics such as best practices and collaborations between and among state capacity development, operator certification, and state revolving fund programs; methods for building sustainability through asset management, water system partnerships, and operator training; and how EPA, states, and assistance providers can be more effective and efficient in our collective support for small drinking water systems.  There will also be dedicated time for states to exchange successes and challenges and brainstorm on new ideas and strategic approaches.

Reviewing UV Validation Test Reports: Workshop

State regulators are required to review validation reports as part of the approval process for UV drinking water disinfection systems. These reports, and the accompanying EPA Guidance for interpreting the reports, can be complex. This workshop, hosted by the International Ultraviolet Association, is intended to explain the main concepts behind the validation reports, and guide attendees through the process of reviewing a report.
