Optimizing Utility Operation Through the Use of AWWA Utility Management Standards
AWWA Utility Management Standards were developed to help utilities to foster excellence through continuous improvement and evaluation processes. These voluntary standards and the associated guidebooks allow utilities to identify gaps in their management systems and to improve systems before they fail. Case studies have shown that use of the standards can help utilities save energy, improve efficiency, prevent water loss, and improve water quality. They have also been used successfully to justify investments and secure funding.
