Past CIFA President to Testify to Congress Regarding Clean Water SRFs

On Tuesday, March 11th at 10:00 AM EST, the Council on Infrastructure Financing Authorities (CIFA) will send one of its past presidents to testify to Congress about the importance of Clean Water State Revolving Funds (SRFs). Jeff Walker, a retired Executive Administrator for the Texas Water Development Board, will testify on behalf of CIFA to the Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment.

In their written testimony to the same subcommittee, CIFA highlighted many of the economic benefits that the SRFs provide for clean water infrastructure. Clean Water SRFs are effective because each state customizes them to meet its unique needs, and because the SRFs make clean water infrastructure more affordable. Mr. Waker will assert the need for Congress to reauthorize Clean Water SRFs without diverting billions in funding away from the SRFs through congressional earmarks.
