ASDWA 50th SDWA Anniversary Video with Bill Moody from Mississippi
William “Bill” Moody, ASDWA Past-President and Director of the Bureau of Public Water Supply for the State of Mississippi, is featured in a new video for our continuing series with Travis Loop from Waterloop. This video series is being released over the course of the year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and the 40th anniversary of ASDWA.
In this video, Bill Moody highlights the changes that water regulations have seen in his last 27 years with Mississippi. Public water systems are now facing challenges with emerging contaminants, cybersecurity threats, and increased complex regulations from EPA, all of which can strain a state drinking water systems. He explains that all this places an undue burden on the regulating drinking water quality in Mississippi and across the country.
