October 17-Imagine a Day Without Water
Thursday, October 17, 2024 marks the 10th year for the campaign – Imagine a Day Without Water. Over last decade, we’ve seen some key changes in the way our nation values water that is reflected in the historic federal investment in water through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). Drinking water systems and the customers that they serve as facing increasing challenges from aging infrastructure and simultaneous compliance with 22 regulations for 97 contaminants. The recently released Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI) and the PFAS regulation present incredible workloads for water systems and state agencies. Though we’ve come a long way, there’s still much progress to be made. Everyone has a stake in the future of our nation’s water.
