On Wednesday, Sept. 25, Congress passed a temporary stopgap bill to avoid a government shutdown. This bill funds the government agencies and pushes final spending decisions until after the election season. It passed through the House of Representatives and the Senate, and the President is expected to sign it before the end of the week.

The agency funding will continue at standard levels until December 20, as well as adding an undisclosed amount to help with the presidential and election transition.
