RCAP SRF Disaster Funding Webinar
On Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm (eastern time), the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) will host a training webinar to discuss State Revolving Funds (SRF) disaster funding used for hurricane impacted communities in Florida. The webinar will focus on SRF funding for water and wastewater utilities that came through the Supplemental Appropriation for Hurricanes Ian and Fiona, as well as HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. Participants will hear about some of the complexities of finding funding for high income communities that are catastrophically impacted by disaster, using the case study of Sanibel Island, Florida. Webinar presenters will also compare the Sanibel example with examples of other communities that have received the same disaster funding. Register for the webinar here.
