ASDWA 50th SDWA Anniversary Video Series Featuring Doug Kinard of South Carolina

ASDWA is excited to share the next installment of our continuing video series in partnership with Travis Loop from waterloop, highlighting success stories from the past 50 years of implementing the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA).

In today’s video, Doug Kinard with the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services highlights the success South Carolina has had working with their neighboring states using the voluntary Area-Wide Optimization Program (AWOP) to optimize the treatment of their surface water plants, with South Carolina now serving  over 2.5 million customers optimized water that goes above and beyond regulatory requirements.
