LIHWAP Webinar on August 26 to Celebrate Day 1 of World Water Week 2024
The Office of Community Services (OCS) within Health and Human Services (HHS) is recognizing World Water Week from August 26th to the 30th, by highlighting OCS programs that support water quality, affordability, and accessibility, and by recognizing communities that have leveraged these programs to improve well-being for residents. The theme for World Water Week 2024 is ‘Bridging Borders: Water for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future.’ Accordingly, throughout the week, OCS will be highlighting how collaboration with our partners helps to improve outcomes for residents and communities.
To celebrate the first day of World Water Week, OCS will host a panel discussion event, ‘OCS World Water Week 2024 Kickoff: Understanding Water Affordability’ on August 26, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. ET. Panelists will share insights on water affordability data and discuss various water affordability initiatives during the webinar. The discussion will highlight the impact of the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) and panelists will share various approaches to water affordability and data analysis.
