ASDWA will be hosting a free webinar that will be open to the public on Tuesday, April 16 from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM EDT focusing on approximately the first 15 years of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) – 1974 through the late ‘80s – and the successes and challenges of the Federal and states’ programs to meet the mandates of this legislation. With the 50th anniversary of SDWA coming up in seven months on December 16, 2024, the water sector is thinking about past successes, current challenges, and strategically thinking about the future. This webinar will have a panel from former leaders at EPA and the states that will delve into the early history of SDWA implementation that could provide insights into solving our current challenges.
