Senators Introduce Bipartisan Legislation to PFAS Contamination in Private Wells
On Febraury 26, Senators Susan Collins (R-ME), Angus King (I-ME), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), and Mark Kelly (D-AZ) introduced bipartisan legislation to address PFAS contamination in private wells. The Technical Fix for the State Response to Contaminants Program bill would ensure that states have the flexibility to use funding from the $5 billion Small or Disadvantaged Communities Emerging Contaminants Grant Program provided in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to help assist private well owners in removing PFAS from their drinking water.
