EPA New Webinar Series on HABs Forecasting Science
On Wednesday, January 31, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm (eastern time), EPA’s Office of Research and Development, Office of Water, and Regional Offices will host a webinar to kick off the new Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs), Hypoxia, and Nutrients Research Webinar Series. The webinar is entitled, “Development and Application of HABs Forecasting Science.” During the webinar, EPA speakers will discuss performance statistics for using models and satellite imagery to predict HABs in monitored US lakes, and share EPA’s plan to operationalize Cyanobacteria Assessment Network (CyAN) forecasting through existing partnerships and data platforms.
