EPA Sends Final Rule to Regulate PFAS in Drinking Water to OMB
On December 15, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sent the final rule for regulating PFAS in drinking water to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review. It is unclear how long it will take OMB to review the final rule, but EPA’s most recent Unified Agenda of Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions states that the Agency’s goal is to publish the rule by January 2024. The statutory deadline for the rule is September 2024.
