Register for EPA ORD’s Small Systems Webinar on UCMR5, Fraud Awareness, and PFAS Drinking Water Methods
Each month, EPA’s Office of Research and Development (ORD) hosts the Small Drinking Water Systems Webinar Series, which consists of 3 presentations and time for the audience to ask questions. Register now for October’s webinar on October 31, 2023 from 2:00-3:30 ET. October’s program will include the following three presentations:
- “Update on the Fifth Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR 5)” will provide an overview of the UCMR 5 program, including monitoring requirements for water systems, information on data access, resources for understanding the data, and a summary of the UCMR 5 results to date.
- “EPA Fraud Awareness” will cover an introduction to EPA’s Office of Inspector General, IIJA Funding, the State Revolving Fund, Fraud Awareness, and Whistleblower information.
- “PFAS Drinking Water Methods: Past, Present, and Future” will briefly outline the history of EPA drinking water method development for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including Methods 533 and 537.1, currently in use under UCMR 5. The presentation will also preview efforts underway to address the unique challenges of total PFAS analysis.
