EPA Updates Water Technical Assistance Website
On February 16, EPA released an update to the Agency’s Water Technical Assistance (TA) website. Most notably, EPA has developed a Water TA Request Form where communities can request no-cost direct water technical assistance to evaluate their drinking water, wastewater, stormwater infrastructure, and water quality improvement needs. After a community submits the form, EPA reviews the request and connects communities in need with potential TA providers (contingent on available resources). The webpage notes that EPA will coordinate these requests with states, tribes, territories, and other federal agencies as appropriate. In addition to this new form, EPA released a new fact sheet, “Water Technical Assistance: Ensuring Equitable Access to Water Infrastructure Funding,” that summarizes EPA water TA programs and resources available to local municipalities, tribes, communities, and entities eligible for EPA water infrastructure funding programs.
