Proposed PFAS Regulation Still Under Review at OMB
EPA’s proposed drinking water regulation for PFOA and PFOS is still under Executive Order (E.O.) 12866 Review at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as of Friday morning, 12/30/22. The Agency had hoped to propose this regulation by the end of 2022, according to the item on this regulation in the Spring 2022 Unified Regulatory Agenda. At this time, it’s unclear what specific issues on feasilibility or costs or benefits have arisen during OMB’s review.
