EPA Approves Seven Drinking Water Analytical Methods
In the August 17th Federal Register, EPA published the approval of seven additional analytical methods for analyzing drinking water samples. EPA used its expedited analytical method approval approach to provide public water systems, laboratories, and primacy agencies with more timely access to new measurement techniques and greater flexibility in the selection of analytical methods, thereby reducing monitoring costs while maintaining public health protection.
