EPA PFAS Research Webinar
On Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 12:00-1:30 pm (eastern time), EPA will host a PFAS research webinar with the Water Research Foundation (WRF) as part of its “EPA Meets the World: a Research Webinar Series.” This webinar will feature presentations from:
- Dr. Tom Speth in EPA’s Office of Research and Development about PFAS Destruction: Overview on EPA-ORD’s Recent Activities.
- Dr. Jean Van Buren, an EPA ORISE Research Fellow about Targeted and Non-targeted Methods for PFAS Analysis.
- Mary Messec Smith of WRF to provide a WRF PFAS Research Update.
- Dr. Derya Dursun of Hazen and Sawyer about Understanding Pyrolysis for PFAS Removal.
- Lloyd Winchell of Brown and Caldwell about WRF Project 5111 – Studying the Fate of PFAS through Sewage Sludge Incinerators.
