March 23 Webinar on NRCS RCPP Funding by the Source Water Collaborative
On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 3:30-5:00 pm (eastern time), the Source Water Collaborative (SWC) will host a webinar about the upcoming funding opportunity from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS) Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). The webinar is for source water protection stakeholders and their partners at the state, local, and watershed levels – whether you are developing a proposal for this year’s April 13 deadline, would like to prepare for next year, or want to learn more about the RCPP’s role in expanding our collective ability to address on-farm, watershed, and regional natural resource concerns, and the potential for source water protection. For more information about RCPP, view the press release and visit the RCPP website.
This webinar will provide information from NRCS about the RCPP program and current funding opportunity; from the American Water Works Association’s about their assistance to interested water utility applicants; and tips from the experiences of RCPP projects in Missouri and New Hampshire: how they developed a successful application, structured their projects, and what they’ve learned in the implementation phase. The moderator and speakers are:
- Moderator: Sylvia Malm, GWPC
- Speakers:
- Russell Ames, USDA/NRCS, Washington, DC
- Dave White, 9bGroup and American Water Works Association
- Lauren Zielinski, Merrimack River Watershed Council; Project Manager, New Hampshire Source Water Protection Partnership RCPP
- Mike Kromrey, Watershed Committee of the Ozarks; James River Headwaters RCPP in Missouri
