EPA Webinar on UST Impacts to Small Systems and Solar Power Treatment in Puerto Rico
On Tuesday, February 22, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm (eastern time), EPA will host a webinar with two presentations as part of its Small Drinking Water Systems Webinar Series.
- The first presentation, “Underground Storage Tanks (USTs): How They May Impact Small Drinking Water Systems,” will share information about EPA’s new UST Finder tool that includes geospatial data for locating USTs near groundwater sources of drinking water for small systems that may be impacted by petroleum or hazardous substances.
- The second presentation, “Low-Cost Solar Powered Control Systems in non-PRASA Drinking Water Treatment Systems,” will discuss how EPA researchers are working to develop solar powered drinking water treatment systems for small remote communities in Puerto Rico that are not connected to Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA).
