Listening Sessions Scheduled for EPA’s Draft Strategy to Reduce Lead Exposures and Disparities in U.S. Communities
In October 2021 EPA released a draft “Strategy to Reduce Lead Exposures and Disparities in U.S. Communities.” In November 2021 that document was updated by EPA to include information from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Public comment on the draft strategy ends March 16, 2022.
Yesterday, EPA announced the schedule for ten listening sessions on the draft strategy. The ten listening sessions are scheduled for each of EPA’s ten regions, with a separate listening session for Native American tribes. The sessions will be held from February 8 to March 9, 2022. The Zoom webinars will provide the public with an opportunity to provide verbal input on this draft national strategy. The schedule for the listening sessions, as well as the draft strategy, are available on EPA’s webpage for the strategy.
