OMB Completes Review of EPA’s Decision Regarding Next Steps for LCRR
On December 10, the Office of Management and Budget, a part of the Executive Branch of the President, completed its review of EPA’s decision on how to move forward with the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR). EPA has a deadline of December 16, 2021, to announce the Agency’s next steps. There has been no word from EPA as to what direction the Agency might take, but if EPA decides to make significant changes to the rule, the LCRR would have to go through yet another round of public comment.
