During the Shelter-in-Place orders, many buildings have sat vacant with very little or no water use. These stagnant conditions could have caused bacterial growth that will foul and potentially plug drinking water treatment systems if these systems are not brought back online properly. This session will cover how to safely bring point-of-use (POU) and point-of-entry (POE) drinking water treatment products back online as the Shelter-in-Place orders caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are lifted. WQA will discuss maintenance issues which need to be assessed and provide instructions on when and how POU and POE drinking water treatment systems should be dealt with in the overall recommissioning plan for the building.
The webinar will also cover special considerations by technology type, and recommended precautions to undertake these activities in a safe manner while there is still a significant risk due to the COVID-19 virus.
Who should attend this webinar:
- Building owners;
- Public health officials;
- Policy makers;
- Water treatment professionals who install/service/maintain POU/POE systems; and
- Other stakeholders are welcome.
