NRWA Files Lawsuit Against PFAS Manufacturers
On February 25, the National Rural Water Association (NRWA) filed a lawsuit on behalf of its members against multiple PFAS manufacturers (including 3M, Dupont, Tyco, Chemours, and more) for relief from widespread contamination of public water supplies. The lawsuit alleges that these companies were fully aware of the PFAS threats to human health and the environment and yet knowingly manufactured, marketed, and sold PFAS products, and failed to warn of their dangers. NRWA is seeking funding to pay for a drinking water testing and data collection program and to recover damages from current and future investigation, monitoring, remediation, and response to potential PFAS contamination of water supplies.
