Upcoming ASTHO Webinar on PFAS Exposure Assessment Technical Tools
ASTHO is hosting an upcoming webinar, which will focus on state usage of the PFAS Exposure Assessment Technical Tools (PEATT). PEATT is a guidance document developed by the Centers for Disease Control and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) to measure PFAS exposures through drinking water sources. Results from the PEATT allow health officials to estimate levels of exposure for the entire affected community, not just those individuals tested. The PEATT also provides guidance on how to share these results with affected communities.
This webinar will cover two pilot projects measuring PFAS exposures undertaken by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the New York State Department of Health.
