EPA Office of Water has updated the Cyanobacteria and Cyanotoxins: Information for Drinking Water Systems Fact Sheet to include information on human health effects, analytical screening tools and the effectiveness of various treatment processes to remove or inactivate microcystin-LR, anatoxin-a, cylindrospermopsin and saxitoxins in public water systems.
EPA Office of Research and Development’s Safe and Sustainable Water Resources Research Program is hosting an upcoming webinar on the free Cyanobacteria Assessment Network Mobile Application (CyAN), which is designed to assist local and state water quality managers make better-informed and quicker decisions during cyanobacterial blooms.
