EPA Webinar on Conventional Treatment Options for Harmful Algal Blooms
On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm (eastern), EPA will host a webinar entitled, “Conventional Treatment Options for Harmful Algal Blooms,” as part of its Small Systems Monthly Webinar Series. During the webinar, participants will learn about the following topics:
- Cyanobacterial cell removals through coagulation and sedimentation.
- Toxin removals through coagulation, sedimentation, and filtration.
- Propagation of toxins and indicators of cyanobacterial biomass through a surface water treatment facility.
- Removal of cyanobacterial toxins by powdered activated carbon (PAC).
