States and EPA Share Their Perspectives
On Tuesday, October 17th, preceding the ASDWA Annual Conference, state drinking water administrators and EPA talked about a wide range of drinking water issues. The roundtable provides a forum for frank discussions from both groups. The roundtable topics ranged from how states and EPA can collaborate on emerging contaminants to perchlorate and the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR). The transition to SDWIS Prime was a major topic of discussion at the roundtable, as well as at the Annual Conference itself, as the transition to the new software is a significant effort for all involved. EPA talked about its latest efforts on drinking water program oversight and partnerships. States provided their perspectives on all of these issues and the discussions were lively!
