Call for Nominations
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine invites you to submit nominations for committee members to serve on a new study that will help guide research at the USGS Water Mission Area (WMA). The study will identify the most compelling national water resource challenges and science and research needs for the next 25 years. The study will consider opportunities for integrating across science disciplines.
Nominations are being sought for individuals with expertise in a range of disciplines, including the subject areas listed below. Nominations are also sought for experts who represent state and local user communities who have worked with the USGS on a cooperative basis. Submissions are due by April 28, 2017. - Hydrologic hazards
- Observational water science and modeling
- Strategic science planning
- Surface and groundwater quality and quantity
- Systems science
- Water resources
- Water use and availability for humans and the environment
