Michigan DEQ Looks for New Drinking Water Director
Our Michigan colleague, Bryce Feighner, will be retiring as of July 1. As a result, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is currently recruiting for a Senior Management Executive 19 position to be the Director of the Drinking Water & Municipal Assistance Division. This position plans, administers, and directs the activities and programs of the Drinking Water and Municipal Assistance Division. Programs in the Division of approximately 130 employees, include:
+ Public Water Supplies (Community & Noncommunity) + Technical Support and Compliance
+ Drinking Water Operator Training and Certification + Environmental Health Programs
+Source Water and Wellhead Protection + Contamination Investigation
+ Well Construction + Campgrounds/Pools
+ Septage + Onsite Wastewater
+Revolving Loan Funds
Includes state revolving loan fund, drinking water revolving loan fund, and strategic water quality initiatives fund
