Recording of Webinar on Lead Service Line Replacement
The Children’s Environmental Health Network sponsored a webinar on the health effects of lead on children, lead service line replacement and the new Lead Service Line Collaborative’s website of resources. A recording of that webinar is now available for review on the Lead Service Line Replacement Collborative website and on the Children’s Environmental Health Network’s website. The webinar covered basic health concerns with lead in drinking water, especially developmental effects that impact children. There was also discussion of the regulatory actions taken at the federal level to address lead across different media and the new health based approaches being considered under for the Long-Term Revisions to the Lead and Copper Rule. Finally, the webinar highlighted the community based approaches to lead service line replacement that have been developed by the Lead Service Line Collaborative.
Also, please take a look at the useful tools on the Collaborative website and share them with program colleagues, water systems, and other who might have an interest. ASDWA was a member of the Collaborative and is planning a state focused webinar on lead service line replacement later in the spring.
