New CWA-SDWA Infographic from the Source Water Collaborative
The National Source Water Collaborative is pleased to announce the release of its latest source water protection outreach infographic tool: Source to Tap. This infographic provides a visual interactive landscape for users to learn more about the various Clean Water Act “tools” that can be used to protect drinking water sources, as well as opportunities to contribute local knowledge, data, and perspectives into regulatory and non-regulatory provisions such as Water Quality Standards, Designated Uses, and Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs).
The infographic adapts strategies from the 2014 publication, Opportunities to Protect Drinking Water and Advance Watershed Goals Through the Clean Water Act: A Toolkit for State, Interstate, Tribal and Federal Program Managers, that was developed via a multi-year collaborative effort by states and EPA to help clean water and drinking water program managers align their efforts to better target and apply the Clean Water Act to protect source water. You may access Source to Tap from the Source Water Collaborative website “Quick Tools” toolbar or follow this link.
