House Leadership Announces New Reg Reform Taskforce

For the regulatory reform panel, the goal, according to Ryan, is to “…make it easier to invest, produce, and build things in America with a regulatory system that reduces bureaucracy and eases the burden on small businesses and job creators, while still protecting the environment, public safety, and consumer interests.” Members of the Regulatory Reform Taskforce include the Committee Chairs with responsibility for energy and environmental concerns:
- Energy and Commerce – Fred Upton (MI)
- Natural Resources – Rob Bishop (UT)
- Science, Space and Technology – Lamar Smith (TX)
- Agriculture – Mike Conaway (TX)
- Financial Services –Jeb Hensarling (TX)
- Judiciary – Bob Goodlatte (VA)
- Oversight and Government Reform – Jason Chaffetz (UT)
- Small Business – Steve Chabot (OH)
- Transportation and Infrastructure – Bill Shuster (PA)
