Environmental Policy Job Posting: Manager, Legislative Affairs
The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) (www.nacwa.org) is seeking a Manager of Legislative Affairs. NACWA is a trade association representing municipal clean water and storm water agencies, the primary regulated municipal community under the Federal Clean Water Act.
Successful candidates for the position of Legislative Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing NACWA’s day-to-day legislative agenda, including monitoring and tracking relevant legislative initiatives, attending hearings, representing NACWA’s legislative agenda at stakeholder meetings and on Capitol Hill, drafting letters and testimony, and communicating NACWA’s legislative activities to the Association’s members. Requirements: College degree (minimum), 2 to 3 years work experience preferably on Capitol Hill for a Member of Congress; excellent writing, research and analysis skills (must be able to write on deadline and analyze legislative and statutory language); and an interest in environmental policy-making.
