EPA’s Tap Talks on Tuesdays Shares Value of Water Communication & Outreach Strategies
This week, EPA held a webinar about “Value of Water” campaigns being conducted by the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the State of New York, and the Association of California Water Agencies. This webinar was held as part of EPA’s bi-weekly Tap Talks on Tuesdays series that will run through July. During the webinar, presenters shared information about outreach efforts they have conducted including:
- Developing videos, public service announcements, graphics and logos, bill stuffers, interactive web sites and children’s brochures;
- Conducting messaging about infrastructure needs and cost comparisons — to other drinks (including bottled water) and other utility bills (e.g., cable and cell phones); and
- Using social media and participating in community events.
