Reminder: 2014 Data Management Users Conference
The 2014 State-EPA Data Management Users Conference (DMUC) is fast approaching. Hopefully, you are planning to be there. This year, the DMUC will be held the week of May 12th in Kansas City, Missouri at the Intercontinental Hotel. This year’s conference will again focus on the development of SDWIS Prime, the new state and EPA data system for drinking water. We will start the week with some optional training on Monday afternoon and the full conference will run Tuesday May 13 through Thursday May 15.
SDWIS Prime will touch all aspects of program implementation and many state staff, not just data managers, can provide valuable input in the discussions at the DMUC. Attendees will have an opportunity to see the latest work on Prime and offer feedback that will influence the ongoing development. States will also discuss transition planning and how state “interfacing applications” will work in the new environment. Other data management issues will also be covered during the week. To maximize the use of limited on-site meeting time, ASDWA will hold preconference webinars the week prior to the conference. These will be available to all states. More detailed information on the webinars will be sent to states in the next couple weeks.
See the ASDWA Conferences web page for more information and to register and make hotel reservations. The cost for the rooms is $129 per night and the cut off for our hotel room block is April 18 – just two weeks away. We hope you are planning to join us for this important event.
