House Fills Out Appropriations Slots
Three new Republicans have joined the House Appropriations Committee to take open seats as a result of recent retirements of Jo Bonner (AL) and Rodney Alexander (LA) and the death of Bill Young (FL). The new panel members are Martha Roby (AL), moving over from the Agriculture Committee; Mark Amodei (NV), moving from the Natural Resources Committee; and Chris Stewart (UT), coming from the Committee on Science, Space and Technology. This brings the GOP roster for the Committee back to full strength.
