New Dates for EPA Urban Waters Small Grants Competition
On October 21st, EPA issued a revised 2013/2014 Urban Waters Small Grants Requests for Proposals (RFP) that was originally dated September 26, 2013. The RFP was revised to extend the proposal submission deadline to December 16, 2013, and to identify other date changes for this grant opportunity as a result of the government shutdown. EPA expects to award up to $1.6 million in funding through small grant awards ranging from approximately $40,000 to $60,000. This funding is being provided through the Urban Waters program for projects taking place in 18 eligible geographic areas that improve water quality and support community revitalization and other local priorities. The 18 eligible geographic areas correspond to the Urban Waters Federal Partnership locations and can be found on the program mapping website at: http://www2.epa.gov/urbanwaters/urban-waters-small-grants-mapping.
