The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is seeking to fill the position of Environmental Scientist IV (K0224931) in the Bureau of Water (Chief of Compliance and Data Management in Drinking Water Section) as described below.
- Position Description: The occupant of this position would assist in establishing the SDWIS/STATE data management system necessary to provide basic public water supply inventory information, evaluation of program effectiveness and compliance reporting to EPA. They would also develop new regulations, policies, standards, and guidelines applicable to public water supply programs. Regulations are needed to maintain primacy for drinking water program. This individual would also analyze federal requirements for impacts on Kansas. A complete position description can be emailed upon request.
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in environmental, agricultural, or natural sciences/resources and four years of experience in a field of environmental/agricultural sciences or natural sciences/resources, including one year of supervisory experience.
