Cryptosporidiosis Outbreak in Oregon Community
This town of Baker City, Oregon, in the east-central portion of the state, has experienced an outbreak of Cryptosporidiosis that was discovered on July 31st. There have been several confirmed cases and many more illnesses, with a boiled water advisory that remains in effect. The cause of the contamination is under investigation but livestock and mountain goats grazing near portions of the town’s water surface water supplies are suspected.
