RCAP Produces New Videos for Small, Rural Communities
The Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) has produced six new short videos on a variety of topics to assist small, rural communities in managing their water and wastewater systems. The primary audience is the board of directors or key decision-makers of a community’s water utility. However, other audiences, such as customers, housing developers, staff of water systems, and those who work with drinking water systems should also find them useful. While the topics mainly address wastewater treatment systems, some of them can also be applicable for drinking water systems as follows:
- Preparing Your Wastewater System for Disasters and Emergencies
- Small On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems
- Energy Efficiency at Wastewater Treatment Facilities
- Wastewater Collection Systems: More Than Meets the Eye
- The Importance of an Operator in a Community’s Water Systems
- Your Role as a Customer in Your Community’s Wastewater System
The videos range from four to nine minutes in length and are available online at www.rcap.org/newresources. |
