WaterSense Encourages Sprinkler Spruce-ups
When it comes to a home’s irrigation system, a little maintenance goes a long way. Just one broken sprinkler head could waste as much as 25,000 gallons of water and more than $90 over a six-month irrigation season. That’s why WaterSense is encouraging homeowners to do a little “sprinkler spruce-up” this spring and summer. WaterSense has developed new tips and tools to educate consumers about the importance of maintaining sprinkler systems to promote healthy landscapes and reduce water waste. WaterSense is a partnership program sponsored by EPA that seeks to protect the future of our nation’s water supply by offering people a simple way to use less water.
