EPA Seeking Technical Experts for its Board of Scientific Counselors
EPA is seeking nominations for technical experts to serve on its Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC), a federal advisory committee to the Office of Research and Development (ORD). ORD is forming a subcommittee to provide independent scientific and technical peer review, consultation, advice, and recommendations for each of its research programs: Air, Climate and Energy; Chemical Safety for Sustainability; Homeland Security; Human Health Risk Assessment; Safe and Sustainable Water Resources; and Sustainable and Healthy Communities. States may have staff to nominate for this group or know of local experts that could be recommended.

Individuals and organizations can nominate themselves or others by using the nomination form on the BOSC website. The nomination period is open until April 1, 2013. Details regarding areas of expertise sought, process for submitting nominations, and selection criteria can also be found in the Federal Register.
