Supplement to the Manual for the Certification of Laboratories Analyzing Drinking Water
EPA has recently posted on their website a supplement to the laboratory certification manual covering Cryptosporidium. This new addition, “Supplement 2 to the Fifth Edition of the Manual for the Certification of Laboratories Analyzing Drinking Water”, provides more information on Cryptosporidium monitoring and analysis to adequately support the audit and certification of laboratories conducting this analysis. The new sections on Cryptosporidium will help facilitate the transfer of Cryptosporidium laboratory certification from EPA to state laboratory certification programs. The expanded manual complements new Cryptosporidium laboratory certification training that EPA has planned for states in the coming year. Access to the new Supplement and the rest of the Certification Manual can be found on EPA’s Laboratory Certification Program website.
