EPA to Take Down Outdated Emergency Planning Database
Information about and points of contact for Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPC) will no longer be accessible through an EPA-managed database. As of September 1st, EPA’s Office of Emergency Management will remove the outdated LEPC database from its website. However, information about local planning committees will still be available through contact with State Emergency Response Commissions (SERCs). EPA’s SERC database contains appropriate access information (addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and web links) and will continue to be maintained. Interested parties will be able to contact the SERC to get information about local emergency planning committees.
