NOAA Releases Report on Incorporating Sea Level Change Scenarios at the Local Level
The Partnership for Safe Water has issued its latest Newsletter covering important news and activities of the Partnership. The newsletter is attached. This issue includes information on the pending retirement of Bill Lauer of AWWA, the longtime manager of the Partnership. It also introduces the new coordinator at AWWA, Tom Schippert. The new partnership members for 2012 are listed in the newsletter and more details for reporting to the Partnership are documented. Of special interest to state drinking water programs is a newly adopted policy on compliance with distribution system regulations. This policy describes the requirements and consequences for participating utilities that received regulatory violations.
The Partnership for Safe Water is an organization dedicated to improvement of performance at surface water treatment plants and in distribution systems beyond regulatory standards to improve public health protection.
